Walk Description:
This is a wonderful looped walk which is generally flat over good paths over both woodland and heathland.
Morton is a beautiful village where it is possible to see the grave of T E Lawrence before moving out for our looped walk.Some parts of the walk are exposed so may need either sun hats/screen or wet weather gear plus the possibility of mud depending on the time of year
There are a couple of gentle hills and a couple of stiles.
Lovely views and we pass the tank ranges. You will also go past a memorial stone where Lawrence came off his motorbike.
We will be meeting by the village cemetary just by the entrance to the Walled Garden. There is parking at the walled garden itself as well as roadside parking.
After the walk there is the opportunity to visit the tea room for refreshments and also the church which has beautiful engraved windows by Lawrence Whistler.
