Walk Description:

A walk Dorset away day to Winchester where we will walk beside the river Itchen and absorb the history of the area.

This is an easy 4 mile walk where we will stop at the historical sites along the way.

(I will complete a recce nearer the time then come back to these notes to finish off.)

For members coming by train you will need to walk down through Winchester and all meet by the steps of the Guildhall.

For drivers the park and ride at Junction 10 East is the place to catch the bus which is very inexpensive and covers everyone in the car.

We can if we wish have lunch together afterwards or people can make their own arrangements if they want to spend the day in Winchester.

Meet outside the Guildhall on the corner of Abbey Passage.
