Walk Description:

An uplifting start to the day!   Come and join us to listen to the dawn chorus in the heart of teh Forest!

We'll park at Standing Hat and stroll down the track to Stubby Copse Inclosure - it's a lovely clearing nested in the woods.   Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and a cup of coffee and we'll sit quietly and await the spectacle of the dawn chorus!  The walk is less than a mile and sunrise will be at 5.05 am.   No poles necessary.

Location Notes:

Drive up the cycle track from Balmer Lawn Rd, ignore Tillery Road car park on left. Standing Hat car park is approx 3/4 mile on. Allow 5 mins to drive as speed limit is just 5 mph. Beware of big potholes and ponies!
