Walk Description:
A superb 5½ mile circular walk around the Hamble Valley starting from the free car park at Bursledon Station.
This mainly flat route takes us for a delightful stroll along a solid shingle causeway between the mudflats, with a weath of seabirds. A Pink Ferry trip (£2.50 cash only) takes us across the River Hamble to the lively maritime village of Hamble-le-rice with its pubs, tea rooms and quirky shops. We follow paths through open fields and patches of woodland back to the quiet village of Bursledon with its amazing view of the estuary.
After the walk there will be an opportunity to have lunch and/or refreshments at the BoatHouse.
Location Notes:
Park in the free car park at Burlesdon Train station where we will meet. Station Road SO31 8AA, Bursledon
