The Walk Experience Starting from the Totternhoe Knolls Picnic Area Car Park, this scenic 5KM wellbeing walk takes in stunning views across Totternhoe Knolls and the Dunstable Downs. We walk together through open countryside, following a mix of: Rolling fields Bridleways and countryside tracks A short road section From the very start, you’ll feel the group camaraderie and relaxed atmosphere, as conversation flows and friendships begin to build naturally. As we move through the landscape, the gentle undulations help develop strength, stamina, and total body fitness, especially when using Nordic poles—turning this into a powerful yet accessible full body walking workout. Along the way, we pass through areas rich in history, including: The site of a Norman castle A Neolithic Iron Age Hill Fort dating back over 4000 years These moments create natural pauses—time to connect, reflect, and enjoy the shared experience of walking together. This walk, is in tranquil countryside with open wide-ranging vistas with some excellent panoramic views. The walk starts at the car park at Ivinghoe Beacon (which is a free car park), use this link to navigate there https://w3w.co/momentous.gilding.user . This is a challenging walk with some steep climbs. The walk starts with one loop up Ivinghoe beacon, then down a gentler slope down the other side. We then Carry on across a path through a field with wide ranging views, we then walk towards the woods. Then on to a moderate climb using steps through the woods and follow parallel to the road through the woods and back along to the carpark.
