Walk Description:

This is a lovely evening walk perfect after a busy Monday. We'll meet at The Angel pub before heading out onto Poor Common. We'll then make our way along the picruresque River Stour, where it may be muddy, depending on the weather and then go round Longham Lakes. We will then make our way through more woodland, where you can see the blueberry bushes from the nearby farm and alongside horse fields before venturing onto Ferndown Common. The walk ends back at the Angel pub where you're welcome to pop in for a drink. There are a couple of small hills and no stiles on the walk. As mentioned before, there may be mud and possibly midges round the lake. Paws may be useful as there is a small bit of road walking. If you're not planning on having any refreshments after the walk then parking is just outside the pub on the housing estate or in a small layby nearby.

Location Notes:

Please park in the pub carpark if going in for coffee at the end of the walk . Otherwise plenty of on road parking by the railings outside pub. Paws on poles needed for road section.
