Walk Description:
A short walk from Woodpecker Drive into Upton Country Park on good paths with beautiful views of Poole
Harbour.
It is a council run park with a Georgian Grade II listed mansion house built in 1818 which is currently being
renovated.
In the summer festivals are held on the green space in front of the house.
There are around 130 acres of gardens, parkland and woodland on the shoreline of Poole Harbour.
Toilets available.
Roadside parking then a level route into the park.
There is a new pedestrian crossing which makes the area much safer on foot.
This walk is just under 4 miles.
(Timings for this walk are due to the BH closing which is earlier than usual.)
Location Notes:
Free road parking on Woodpecker Drive. The Postcode takes you to Blackbird close which is off Woodpecker Drive. Please park responsibly along Woodpecker fairly close to Blackbird Close as that is close to the Upton Country park end and this is where we shall meet.
