Walk Description:

Venturing further afield this month, our midweek walk will tackle two of the Peak District's spectacular edges, Curbar and Baslow. The location of the car park means that a lot of the climb will be done by car. Want to experience wonderful views, on the edge of moorland, maybe even see wild deer and highland cows? This is the walk for you. 4 miles, 450ft/ 137m of ascent. Uneven surfaces. No stiles. Possibly mud.

Meet at 9.45am for a 10am start. Car share is possible from Thorpe. Bring a drink and a snack for the walk. No toilets. £4 to park. Free for National Trust/ RSPB members.

Option to go for coffee at The Bridge Inn after the walk.

Location Notes:

pay and display car park, £4 all day or free for National Trust/RSPB members.
