Walk Description:
Returning to Curbar & White Edge, July's long walk will also incorporate Froggatt Edge and part of Baslow Edge. We will walk a 6 mile loop (10km) in total, with 700ft (220m) of ascent. Along the way we will encounter glorious views, wide open spaces, footpaths, fields, steps, stiles, a little bit of woodland, hopefully some deer and possibly a few highland cows. It's a popular area to walk in so we may encounter more humans than we are used to!
Parking will be at a National Trust carpark on the Longshaw Estate. Just before the end of the walk we will be able to refresh ourselves at The Grouse Inn. Drinks and/or lunch are options.
Meet at 9.15am for a 9.30am start. Bring a drink & snack for the walk. Waterproofs too. Car share from Thorpe possible.
