Walk Description:

Workshop Overview The Power of Poles workshop is a Kinesthetic teaching method designed to help individuals of all ages and fitness levels master pole walking at their own pace. Whether your goal is weight loss, rehabilitation, or simply enjoying longer walks, this session turns a casual walk into an effective whole-body workout. [1, 2, 3, 4]   What You Will Learn During the 90-minute introductory session, instructors guide you through: Technique: Proper posture, natural arm swing, and the correct foot placement to propel yourself forward. Muscular Engagement: How to engage your core, back, and shoulders to burn more calories than regular walking. Efficiency: Techniques to make walking uphill feel easier and reduce joint strain when traveling downhill. Equipment Selection: How to correctly size your poles and choose the right type for your needs

Benefits and Next Steps Using total body walking poles mirrors the motion of cross-country skiing, turning your local outdoor spaces into a full-body gym. After completing the workshop, many beginners feel "lighter on their feet" and can walk further with less effort. Completion of this introductory course allows you to join regular group walks and more advanced, follow-up modules (such as Power of Poles Part 2) to continue improving your skills
