Walk Description:

Starting and finishing at Springdale Road car park, this longest marked loop crosses internationally important lowland heath. Enjoy sweeping views over Poole Harbour, Corfe Castle and the Isle of Purbeck, wander historic clay-quarry terrain, ponds and woodland, and follow the level Castleman Trailway old railway. Look out for all six native reptiles, colourful heather, dragonflies and rare birds, with cattle and ponies grazing the open heath. Sandy/gravel paths, gentle slopes, some damp ground   

Location Notes:

Free car park with plenty of spaces. No toilets. Nearest behind the Co op supermarket at the other end of Corfe Mullen. This location is for Upton Heath walk (CP)
