The varied route winds along wide, firm tracks through peaceful pine and mixed broadleaf woodland on the edge of Wareham Forest, across sunlit open heathland bright with heather and gorse in season, along quiet low traffic country lanes, and beside the calm, scenic banks of the River Frome. You’ll enjoy changing views of sheltered tree cover, sweeping heathland, lush riverside meadows and reedbeds, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife including herons, kingfishers, woodland birds and butterflies. Toilets are available at the Claypipe, street parking
