WALX Wessex

Walk Description:

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

On Fridays we walk for around 2 hours and end at a local cafe to enjoy a cafe or pub for a coffee or a cold drink. Sometimes we will also have a light lunch.

East Garston Loop and Lambourn Valley Way - Priscilla's Cafe

East Garston is on the eastern side of the North Wessex Downs quite near to Welford Park. Priscilla's cafe has been voted one of the best cafes in West Berkshire and has amazing home made cakes and light bites as well as great coffee.

Today's Walk: Starting at East Garston Village Hall (limited parking please share lifts) we will walk through some lovely countryside and towards Great Shefford and then return via the Lambourn Valley way along the Lambourn River to the start.

Length and Grade: 5 miles - a few hills

Location: East Garston Village Hall - limited parking please share lifts. There may be some other parking on the village road.

Notes: Can have coffee/cake after at Priscilla's Cafe which is behind the village hall.

There is limited space in the hall car park. Please share lifts if you can or park in the village and meet at the hall if the space is limited. Toilets in the PO cafe.
