Walk Description:
Join us for a 10.8 km walk from Tower Hill to Buckingham Palace, taking a varied route through the heart of central London.
Starting at Tower Hill, we’ll pass the Tower of London and cross Tower Bridge before following the Thames through Southwark and Bankside. Along the way we’ll pass or see many familiar London landmarks, including Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tate Modern, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge and the London Eye.
We'll stop for refreshments at the historic Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese pub off Fleet Street, rebuilt in 1667 after the Great Fire of London in 1666.
The route continues along the South Bank towards Westminster, with views of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, before taking us into Westminster and the royal parks.
We’ll finish at Buckingham Palace after an enjoyable cross-section of London, combining riverside walking, historic streets, green spaces and some of the capital’s best-known sights.
NOTE: this walk is best WITHOUT poles. Bring water and any snacks you'll want for the walk.
Location Notes:
Trinity Place is just outside Tower Hill Underground Station (Circle, District)
