Walk Description:

If you enjoy a walk with some hills and a fantastic view as your reward, this is a great one to choose.

This circular route includes part of the South Downs Way and takes us through beautiful downland, open fields and vineyards, with one of the most spectacular views across the South Downs.

This is a hilly walk, so expect to get the heart and lungs working on the climbs. The paths can also be uneven in places, so sturdy walking shoes or boots are essential. Depending on where livestock are grazing, we may encounter cows along the route.

We are very good at working with different walking speeds while keeping everyone together. Faster walkers will have opportunities to stretch themselves and work a little harder, while those who prefer a steadier pace can tackle the hills without feeling under pressure. No one gets left behind.

The walk will last approximately 90–120 minutes.

A fantastic choice if you want to challenge yourself a little, build your fitness and enjoy some wonderful South Downs scenery along the way.

New to walking with us? If you’re unsure whether this walk is right for you, please give me a call before booking on 07702 067812.

Walking Levels Explained

Easy – Up to 2.5 to 3 mph

Ideal for casual walkers who enjoy conversation along the way. These walks are mostly flat, and any hills will be tackled slowly and gently.

Moderate – 3 to 3.5 mph

A steady pace that may lead to slightly heavier breathing, particularly on inclines. Suitable for those looking for a bit more of a workout.

Challenging – 3.5 to 4 mph

Suited for experienced walkers who enjoy pushing their pace. These walks may include longer durations (2+ hours), steeper inclines/declines, or uneven terrain. Though challenging, there will be moments to catch your breath, usually on flat or downhill sections.

Note: We never leave anyone behind. The walk leader makes sure everyone is looked after.

Location Notes:

If you are approaching the Amberley working museum on your right, continue past and take the next right on High Titten, we will be able to park on the street. We will meet at the top end of the road as there is a bit more space to park. Toilets are available at Riverside café before the walk. They just request that we pop in for a tea if we do need to use their facilities after our walk.
