Walk Description:

Our Explorer WALX this week starts from the lovely setting of Lamport Hall. Our walk will take us across this pretty part of Northamptonshire to the village of Scaldwell before looping back to the small hamlet of Hanging Houghton. We make our way along a section of the Brampton Valley Way before a climb back up to return to Lamport Hall.

5.5 miles with stiles

We can then enjoy a coffee in the Stableyard and spend some time viewing the work of local artists at the Northamptonshire Open Studios Central Exhibition which is being held here between the 31st August to 30th September.

There is no entry fee for the exhibition.

If you receive the waiting list notice we have reached capacity numbers. Please leave your name on the waiting list as I will try open other walks depending on team availability.   Please use your own poles. Please do not book on for a WALX if you think you may have symptoms, or do have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms.  It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack and a snack for afterwards or during.  You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or sending an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed.

This activity is run by Helen Hartley 07919191845

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.  Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any change to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing.

Location Notes:

Follow the signs for Car Parking. There is parking in the Stableyard, however if it is particularly busy you may need to park in the overflow parking which is on the grass area in front of the House.
