Walk Description:

The walk begins in the former mill village, Wainstalls, taking the Castle Carr road, via Kell Lane, above the stunning Luddenden Dene Valley. The walk follows the road towards Castle Carr Gatehouse with Wadsworth Moor to the West and Warley Moor to the East Side. The route features a highly diverse mix of specialised West Yorkshire flora and fauna. It is a mainly flat walk, with some minor inclines so good for practicing your Total Body Walking technique.

Location Notes:

Free, on road parking near Wainstalls School. No toilet facilities available. Local bus service 513 (Halifax - Mixenden circular via Wainstalls). Nearby Crossroads pub available for refreshments.
