Walk Description:

Setting off from Toy's Hill this walk is through woodland and across open countryside with gorgeous view points throughout.

It is easy to see why Churchill fell in love with the countryside in this area.  The area was also home to Octavia Hill – one of the founding members of the National Trust and some of her legacy is evident during this walk – she fought to ensure that much of the countryside in this area was left to the National Trust – and how lucky we are that it was!

There are quite a few hills on this walk - so a great one for building stamina!

We will meet at Toys Hill where there is free parking - there is the opportunity to have a quick break at Chartwell cafe/toilets if we need to!

Walk time is around 2-3 hours depending on our pace and how much we stop to admire views!

I need a minimum of 3 people for a walk.  Please cancel by 6pm the day before a walk.  If you need to cancel after this time or on the day of the walk, I would ask that you just let me know that you cannot attend and the walk will remain chargeable. If a walk is to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, I will let you know by 8pm the evening before.

MODERATE Walks - walks might involve hills and we walk at a pace of around 3 - 3.5 miles per hour.  The walks are usually around 90 mins.
