Walk Description:

A most lovely and varied 6-mile route encompassing the River Itchen to Shawford and returning via the heights of Whiteshute Ridge with views over Winchester landmarks.

Location Notes:

Free parking anywhere on Five Bridges Road, a short dead end road off St Cross Road. Meet near the barrier at the end of the road. If there are no spaces on Five Bridges Road, you can park on either Grange Road, then make your way by foot to Five Bridges Road or park in the lay-by parallel to the viaduct (on the road towards M3). The what3words for this latter parking area are : ///lovely.label.dizzy. If you decide to park there, please call or text your walk leader to inform them.
