A more demanding Workout Walk, designed to challenge and push faster Nordic walkers, particularly on hills. This walk may include some (optional!) Nordic running. The route chosen on Hampstead Heath will vary according to the weather, surface conditions, accessibility, the group’s fitness needs and simply for the pleasure of experiencing different parts of the beautiful heath.
Nordic walkers with specific medical needs or those just starting out may prefer to consider the gentler Workout Walk running at the same time.
Location Notes:
Meet at the new SBF club inside Jack Straws Castle. Changing facilities and lockers are available. Car parking is available behind Jack Straws Castle. This is pay & display - £3 for 2 hours (cash, card or app). Free on-street parking is available on Sundays and at off-peak times in surrounding streets (West Heath Rd, Hampstead Way, Hampstead Grove). The nearest tube station is Hampstead (Northern Line).
