A moderate-speed Nordic walk for most abilities. The route chosen on Hampstead Heath will vary according to the weather, surface conditions, accessibility, the group’s fitness needs and simply for the pleasure of experiencing different parts of the beautiful heath. Faster walkers may be challenged by the instructor with extra hill reps, longer walking loops, bursts of Nordic running – but always optional.
This walk is also suitable for Nordic walkers looking for a gentler pace although the hills on Hampstead Heath will present physical challenge. Nordic walkers with specific medical needs or those just starting out may prefer to consider a Wellbeing class.
Head-torches required and can be provided.
Location Notes:
Meet at the new SBF club inside Jack Straws Castle. Changing facilities and lockers are available. Car parking is available behind Jack Straws Castle. This is pay & display - £3 for 2 hours (cash, card or app). Free on-street parking is available on Sundays and at off-peak times in surrounding streets (West Heath Rd, Hampstead Way, Hampstead Grove). The nearest tube station is Hampstead (Northern Line).
