Thanks to the generosity of our walkers, we recently raised £242.00 for MacMillan Cancer! A beautiful 6 mile Friday walk through the Forest culminated in a cuppa and flapjack and all for an excellent cause!

What fab weather we had over Easter and great to see people out on Easter Saturday at Whitefield Moor. The best thing about having a workout is that we don’t need to feel guilty about eating chocolate afterwards!!!

If you go down to the New Forest from Monday September 13, you’re sure of a ‘pig’ surprise! Because the National Park’s free-roaming ponies and donkeys have now been joined by several hundred of our unique Pannage pigs – domestic porkers turned out every autumn to feast on the forest’s fallen acorns, beech mast and chestnuts. What a fabulous day out on Sunday! Our annual trip to the Isle of Wight couldn’t have been better – great weather – sunshine and quite a strong wind, which was ideal! We walked the loop from Yarmouth to Alum Bay, Needles, Tennyson Down, Freshwater Bay – about 14-15 miles in total with plenty of

A group of our walkers, led by Trevor, recently embarked on the Test Way Walk, a long distance path that follows the route of the River Test from its source to its mouth. The walk is 44 miles in total, so we decided to split in into 3 stages. Stage 1 was from Totton to

Stage 2 of the Test Way Walk went well! Again, blessed with great weather, the walkers covered another 13.5 miles. Apart from the beautiful scenery and fantastic feeling of achievement, the team are enjoying a new found sense of camararderie and friendship from spending all this time together!

Everyone enjoyed Sue’s sunrise walk followed by breakfast! What a beautiful morning it was and being the morning after we lost our precious Queen Elizabeth, it was a soul lifter!

We don’t just exercise – we also socialise extremeley well! Our summer party this year was afternoon tea at Wilverley. All washed down with

Well we had a great turn out of fun-loving members for our summer celebration this year! Trev provided us with scrummy food and the Prosecco was flowing. As always the company was brilliant!

So Team Test completed the last leg on Friday – all 18.5 miles – what an achievement – 44 miles ++ in total! They started the walk with some unfortunately heavy showers – luckily everyone had the right gear – and once they’d dried off in the wind, it was a lovely day! The most

A great Adventure Walk to the Oak Inn at Bank today. The walk to the pub was beautiful – along the river and through the woods. But not quite long enough to burn off the sumptious lunch, so we did a small detour on the way back to make up the miles!!!
