Well May continued where April left off, with lots of highs but the odd low, including the weather! 12 NeWTs actually managed to hear a cuckoo on our longer Cuckoo Walk (and it wasn’t just a single cuckoo, it went on and on and on!), Jane went to Guernsey to recce for our trip in August, we launched out monthly Walk & Dine sessions, and we welcomed Kieran, Paula, Anne and Ruth who completed their Learn To Nordic Walk courses!

And now for the main low point of the month. If you didn’t already know, Jane has hurt her leg 🤦‍♀️ We are trying to keep as many walks running as possible but please bear with us as we won’t be able to run all walks, and longer walk locations might have to be re-jigged

Our next Walk & Dine is on Saturday 2 July in Matley, Stalybridge. Monthly Members should have already received an invitation email allowing them to book; booking will open up to everybody else on Friday 3 June. Book early as spaces are limited!

Check out our video below for a quick recap of our May walks ⬇️⬇️⬇️

🚧Roadworks🚧

GREAT NEWS! Whilst the roadworks are still on Mottram Moor near the Gun Inn traffic light, they are ahead of schedule and the diversion has gone! That means traffic is back to normal, still slow but no more 30 minutes delays!

2022 Challenge
We’re following in the footsteps of Forrest Gump! With over 800 miles walked in May we’ve reached 4019.5 miles! Remember, the more walks you join, the more likely we are to complete the distance

Please
contact Jane if you’d like any further information

Join us for a few days away walking in Guernsey.
You are responsible for booking your own travel & accommodation (approx £400 total based on 2 people sharing)

Additional costs will include travel around Guernsey, lunch/evening meals & walks. All walks are optional but we would expect you to join some of them. There is a circular bus route around the island so it should be easy enough to cut a walk short if needed
