An Adventure Walk  from Belle Vue Farm to Durlston Country Park and back.

Good but uneven terrain and there may be mud at times. A few stiles.

There is 1 steep hill but we can re-route if necessary so don't be put off.

Gentle WALX which  incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of tai chi or relaxation too. All Wellness session incorporating gentle fitness walking with above activities, taught by a retired nurse. It is sociable and can be followed by a cafe visit 

This is a friendly mixed ability group  open to all with or without poles. Many members  prefer to walk with poles as they find it  is more effective than ordinary walking .When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture burn more calories and they can help if you have balace issues.  This is a mixed ability walk and we split into 2 or 3 groups so all can walk at apace which is beneficial for the individual

It is a sociable walk at a slower pace than the Monday walk but faster than a wellness walk. Referral WALX

A comfortably paced walk in the Gardens for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere. The qualified Exercise Referral Instructor will lead you through a warm up, a short walk making stops along the way if needed and finish with a stretch. Exercise bands are often used within the walk to rest the legs, improve strength in the upper body and work on posture.

We join all Wednesday walkers after the walk for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.

Total Body WALX

A gentle paced walk for 45 minutes with a WALX Guide around the lake, joining all Wednesday walkers for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.

You can book this session without the Power of Poles training, join us walking with no poles or borrow a set from us and feel the ‘Power of Poles’.  

Power of Poles training is available in Bexley.

This is a walk for those who are managing a long term health condition.   The session comprises of a walking route that can be inland, or along the coast at Goring. There will be rest stops, and the pace regulated to accommodate all those attending on the day. Also there will be exercises and activities to target flexibility, strength and balance.   It will be a session with the aim to motivate people to try and improve their fitness and mobility, or to give others the chance to maintain some regular outdoor mobility.    It will be a social and fun session.

Walk Description:

 

Join me for a 6 mile walk up the canal probably to the new bridge on Edith Rigby Bridge and return taking in Haslam park on the way back.

This will be a faster paced walk than is usual pushing you slighty out of your comfort zone. A total body walk but if you have the more traditional poles you are still very much welcome because it all applies.

It is essential to register and book in advance online.
