The walk follows the Harrogate Ringway through woodland and then down past Fulwith Grange and then cuts across fields up to Follifoot Ridge. The route then loops round towards Crimple Beck and returns via the old golf course. The walk is just over 4 miles and takes about an hour and forty minutes.

Friday Cafe Nordic Walx - this is up to 2 hours and 5 miles often followed by a coffee at a local cafe or bring your own flask for an after walk coffee and chat.
Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing.
Note: To participate in regular Nordic WALX, you must have completed our Nordic Freedom Course.

An Intermediate / Gear 2 walk of approximately 4 miles. The gradient is gentle, no steep hills or ramps, but the aim is to maintain a good pace. There are a couple of alternative routes according to the ground conditions but walkers should be prepared to walk along country roads and farm tracks.
Intermediate - A faster pace than Gear 1 and an established technique is key, but if necessary a little more recovery time for those that need it.
Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.
