This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction course. We explore the forest trails, meres and hills in Delamere Forest and cover 4-5km (3.5 - 4 miles) in the hour.
Please bring a a small rucsac with your drink and any medication you may need
Car parking Fees apply in Forest Centre, Tree tps carpark, Old Pale, Whitefield carpark or become a member of Delamere Forest for an annal fee of £72.00 wich covers carparking fees for a year.

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade 3.5. The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at walkers that can maintain a pace of 3.5 mph. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

A circular walk of 5 miles starting from RSPB Vane Farm with a steady long climb on to Benarty Hill and a walk along the top to the Trig point. There will be plenty of ‘view stops’ on the way up!
There is a Car Park charge (£3 for non-RSPB members)
If the weather is inclement, we will do an out-and-back walk along the south and east shore of Loch Leven.

It’s magical to walk here as this was the site of the Roman town Venta Icenorum ‘Market Place of the Iceni’ and predecessor of the county city of Norwich!
We will vary our routes each week, choosing from a variety of hilly High Ash Farm trails or crossing over the Caistor St Edmund Roman Town. So many options…If you have never tried our Twin Peaks Walk - this is the one for you!

Come and join us on a social walk on a circular route of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park.
Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate.
The estate is 1400 acres, so offers lots of different walks with stunning views, and we may see some of their famous deer herd too.

This week the terrific Tuesday series of Explorer WALX is in Mayfield, starting at Mayfield Yarns close to Ashbourne. We walk around Church Mayfield, Middle Mayfield, and Clifton. Mayfield is a large, sprawling village on the Staffordshire side of the River Dove, close to Ashbourne.
Middle Mayfield has some lovely 17th and 18th-century houses. Church Mayfield, down by the river and the oldest part of the village, has the church and an old yarn mill where we meet. It is an old village with a lovely church and since the end of the 18th century, it has mostly made a living through the cotton mills situated along the River Dove.
Exploring this area, we have some good views and more gentle terrain.

Find out how to use fitness walking poles to achieve the results YOU want.
This 2 PART COURSE, delivered in partnership with WATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL and including a free pole clinic, will help you understand how to select the right kind of poles and use them for health, fitness, fun or challenges.
This course is delivered over 2 x 1-hour sessions:
· The first session will ensure you get the correct movement and technique using strapless poles
· The second session will enable you to practice your technique and we will then help you select the right poles and walks for YOU!
