This is a 4.5 - 5 mile moderate walk (average steady pace 3.4mph) suitable for all Gear 2-3 abilities as there are opportunities for those who want a challenge to get up to Gear 3 and add in extra distance if they choose! These 2 walks warm up together and then take different routes according to your ability.
Referral WALX
A comfortably paced walk in the Gardens for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere. The qualified Exercise Referral Instructor will lead you through a warm up, a short walk making stops along the way if needed and finish with a stretch. Exercise bands are often used within the walk to rest the legs, improve strength in the upper body and work on posture.
We join all Wednesday walkers after the walk for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
Total Body WALX
A gentle paced walk for 45 minutes with a WALX Guide around the lake, joining all Wednesday walkers for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
You can book this session without the Power of Poles training, join us walking with no poles or borrow a set from us and feel the ‘Power of Poles’.
Power of Poles training is available in Bexley.

This is a walk for those who are managing a long term health condition. The session comprises of a walking route that can be inland, or along the coast at Goring. There will be rest stops, and the pace regulated to accommodate all those attending on the day. Also there will be exercises and activities to target flexibility, strength and balance. It will be a session with the aim to motivate people to try and improve their fitness and mobility, or to give others the chance to maintain some regular outdoor mobility. This week we start at the Willy Watt Marina in Ringstead. We set off along the disused railway before heading over to Denford alongside the winding River Nene. Having looked with envy at the waterside properties we leave Denford and head towards Ringstead and Kinwell Lakes.
One of our favourite walks with plenty of opportunity to look out for wildlife.
The Water Mill Tearooms is a perfect spot to enjoy some refreshments after the walk. Unfortunately they are not taking bookings so availability will be on a first come first served basis.

Our Explorer WALX will venture into the beautiful areas around the Forest. This 2-mile walk is primarily on flat terrain but can be muddy on occasions. Allow 1 hour for the walk.
This Explorer WALX session is open to walkers who do not wish, or are not able, to use poles. This session is suited to those who are looking to improve their fitness and can walk at a minimum pace of 2 mph.

Come and join our WALX classes. To get the most from using poles in our WALX sessions, the Power of Poles is an excellent starting point.
We are excited to welcome newcomers to the use of poles to exercise the whole body while walking. Using poles will engage your core, improve posture and take the weight off lower body joints. It enables you to exercise outdoors which is great for your mental health as well.

The POWER of POLES Induction is totally unique in that it explores the use of both strapless and Nordic walking poles to aid the user gain the best technique and results! Taught over 2 sessions of 1.5 hours duration, the second being optional, the session starts with the strapless moulded handle fitness walking poles devised by WALX and FIZAN
This enables you to feel greater core engagement and master the elements that provide propulsion, increased exercise benefits and make you feel lighter on our feet. Once you have mastered these essential basics you get to explore the traditional Nordic walking straps and movements. The second session of the Power of Poles is optional and will be listed separately at a convenient date for you.

These walks are in the parks and gardens of Leamington.
We walk on the hard surfaces with plenty of opportunity to stop and take a seated break on the benches. It is a social walk with the main focus on having a chat with fellow walkers. . This walk is through Jephson Gardens, Mill Gardens and/or the Pump Room Gardens and /or Victoria Park.
It is ideal if you need a walk to build your confidence at a gentle pace. You will have plenty of opportunity to look at the stunning display of plants and trees in the Gardens and if necessary take a breather on a bench in the tranquillity in these unique gardens in memory of Dr Jephson . There different types of Social walks during the week at WALX. The Goldilocks walk is not too fast or not too slow... it is on flat terrain with no hills. The Goldilocks walk is ideal to getting you back to fitness or getting you back if you are in reehab. Social walks will be of a variety some an hour long others much longer. The Themed walks/ longer walks will be longer and the terrain is likely to be more challenging and the duration will usually be 2 hours or more. A moderate level of fitness is required for these walk. Walks at Inspire Retirement village is a social walk for residents and non residents of Inspire Retirement Village. These walks only will be taken around the parks of the village, The duration of these walks is 45 mins.
