This is a walk for those who are managing a long term health condition. The session comprises of a walking route that can be inland, or along the coast at Goring. There will be rest stops, and the pace regulated to accommodate all those attending on the day. Also there will be exercises and activities to target flexibility, strength and balance. It will be a session with the aim to motivate people to try and improve their fitness and mobility, or to give others the chance to maintain some regular outdoor mobility. It will be a social and fun session.

Our Wednesday Explorer WALX this week sets off from the village of Little Addington and down into the Nene valley where we pick up the track towards Stanwick Lakes. With water and wildlife surrounding us, we will pause for refreshments at the Cafe before heading along the Nene Way and back into Little Addington.
6 miles with a climb back up to Little Addington to get the heart rate up.

Power of Poles intro course
Meet at 1.15 for a 1.30pm start at the Barn, Green Farm Thorpe DE6 2AW
Find out how to use fitness walking poles to achieve the results YOU want. This course will help you understand how to select the right kind of poles and use them for health, fitness, fun or challenges.
This course will ensure you get the correct movement and techniques from the start. We provide the poles for tuition sessions. These are strapless during the first part and we change to strapped nordic walking poles in the second half of the course.

After this course you will receive the Freedom Passport to book walks with all NWUK instructors.
A progression to an optional Part 2 of the course gives you the opportunity to explore how to get more out of using Nordic style strapped poles with drills and advanced technique tuition.
Don`t forget to wear suitable shoes and clothing for all weathers and bring a drink and snack.
