Back in Time History walk will be led by David Morse who has a font of knowledge of Leamington Town. He regularly gives talks for the Leamington History Society. David will inspire you and will give you an invaluable insight into some of the areas of Leamington. The talk will take approx. 90 mins but please allow for 2 hours when parking. There are some delightful places for afternoon tea which we can advise you on nearer the time. Not to be missed!!
We will ask for a £5.00 donation for this walk, all donations will go towards curating photos and historical documents of our beautiful town digitally for preservation and public access.

Adventure Walk: Midsummer evening walk: Around Thorpe, via Lin Dale and Colwall Bridge
Distance: 3 miles, 1.5 hours
The walk: Footpaths, farm tracks and quiet lanes without pavement. Some areas prone to mud and uneven walking.
Via Thorpe Pastures and Lin Dale we will walk downhill to Dovedale and cross the Stepping Stones. From there we walk, following the Dove, to Coldwall Bridge. Then it's uphill back to Thorpe.
Please bring water & snacks, also waterproofs & layers.

Gradients: Lowest 430ft, Highest 695ft, Total ascent 330ft
Meal: in the garden at the Barn: Tapas, salad and pudding. Please let us know if you would like to bring a cake or other nibbles.

One of the few remaining acid heathlands in Hertfordshire, this 60 acre site, bordering the river Colne, provides a haven for wildlife and a place for quiet relaxation for local people. It is managed to maintain the acid grassland, encouraging plants such as heather, as well as to retain the diversity of species in and around the grade 1 stretch of river.
